Real Voodoo Love Spells.

Very often my clients tell me that they are "afraid to love" completely. Now, of course, we all fear being hurt. Many of us will hold back and not give ourselves fully into loving someone at first. We want to wait... we want to see if our feelings are returned. Putting it out there fully and completely is quite scary!

However... and this is a BIG however, if you are doing love spell work and yet you are afraid to give your heart completely then you may be running a very real risk of sabotaging your own spell work!

Think about this: If you are approaching the relationship you are trying to get or fix with fear, holding some of your feelings back, and being afraid that you might get hurt, then what kind of energy are you putting into your spell work? What you put into your spell work is most often what you get out of it. If you are putting fear and holding back your love because you might get hurt, then that is likely what you will get back.

Perfect love spell work must be done in perfect love. Now, spell work doesn't have to be perfect to work for you! Hey, we all make mistakes, and there is a certain level of "accident forgiveness" built into our spell work. However, it is really important to think about how YOU are feeling towards the relationship you are trying to be in. Are you angry? Are you afraid? Are you afraid to truly love that person because you may never get them? What if I told you that you may never get the because you are afraid to truly love them???

There are those among us who feel like it is not worth it to fully love someone. It is too risky. We might get hurt. We might get dumped. We might not get that love returned to us. However, if you are not willing to take the risk then you can never reap the wonderful, incredible, dizzying rewards of truly being in love. The old saying that, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" is just so true.

There is no more powerful emotion than love. If you are not willing to allow yourself to experience it, even if it seems one-sided right now, then you are doing yourself (and your spell work) a terrible disservice.

If you feel that perhaps you have been this person, I would like to suggest that you do something about it! :-) There is no point in getting upset if this has been you. Instead, make yourself the promise to no longer be that person! If you have been deeply afraid or angry or half-hearted in allowing yourself to love the person you want to be in a relationship with, then I am going to suggest that you do something such as Erzulie Freda's Love Bath or perhaps some pink gender candles (in the gender of each of you - you and the person you want to be with) and ask that you allow yourself to feel this love again! Petition that you will not be a blockage to your own feelings of love, that even though right now those feelings might be bittersweet, you will allow yourself to feel them, relish them, wallow in them! THEN start back on your spell work or adjunct work - whatever you are working on right now.

Think of doing something like your love doll with the pulsing ecstasy of love that truly beats in your heart for your special person! Even if you feel like your love is one-sided right now, love is still a positive emotion! Allow yourself to feel it, really feel it, and then go do a love doll session or a candle session.

Trust me, I know that this can be a painful journey sometimes. But don't sabotage it by not allowing yourself to fully commit to the love that you want. Your love is real, so really feel it!

So many people have asked me over the last 25 years, why even use a voodoo love spell (or any love spell for that matter)? To me, it is a matter of practicality! Why not use something that can be helpful spiritually, physically, and mentally? If you are using a well-crafted love spell, took your time to learn what is ethical and what is not, and are approaching this project with a good and honest heart, then love spells are perfect for you!

So how do you tell if the love spells you are going to do are the right thing? Here is a list of things that make certain love spells, when done correctly, completely ethical and reasonable to use:

• Always make sure you are approaching your love spell with an honest heart. You want this person to love you, of course. But you must also, most importantly, be offering your complete love in return. You must never approach your love spell from a point of ego, trying to just get what you want. You have to keep the love in love spell!
• Your love spell must be cast with the other person's best interest at heart, not just yours. It can't be all about you and what you want. Is being with you better for the person than not being with you? If you truly believe that it is, you are in the right frame of mind for love spell casting.
• You understand that you might not get what you are asking for. This is probably the most difficult thing to accept when casting a love spell: Sometimes it just doesn't work in the way you hope it will. There are lots of reasons for this that are outlined on our Frequently Asked Questions page, but sometimes the reason is just that it wasn't right for you (or them). And many times, the spells work in a completely unexpected but amazingly wonderful ways! Truth is, it doesn't hurt to try and they certainly won't work if you don't do them.
• If you aren't casting your own spells, make sure you feel comfortable with the person who is casting for you. They should have complete information clearly stated and a clear and accessible point of contact. If your gut tells you the person isn't right for you, don't use them. Listen to your own intuition!
• The same goes for love spell products - make sure you are getting products that are carefully crafted by the persons selling them (avoid cheap rip off stuff that is not made by your practitioners or under their supervision).

If you believe in the power of prayer, meditation, positive thinking, affirmations, etc., then spell work is definitely for you! Spell casting is a faith-based endeavor. There is everything to gain by trying an esoteric approach to your life and really nothing to lose. (If you believe things you see in movies and on TV about spells being "bad" - then you probably shouldn't cast them or have them cast for you. Those things are never true, but if you have in your head that they are, then love spell casting should not be in your life!)

Hi, everyone! So what about, "I miss you!" I was looking over some correspondence from an old friend and throughout it, she kept saying, "I miss you!" It made me think, does anyone ever say that when they are petitioning in a love spell for someone to return to them? Just plain old, "I miss you."

When I was re-reading some of these old letters, I realized that I really got a little pang in my heart as my friend repeated that she missed me. I missed her, too. Even though I already realized it, her verbalization of it made me realize it even more.

I certainly believe that if you are using something such as a love doll, which makes for a direct link to the person you are working on, telling them that you miss them, you miss their touch, you miss the times when you_______________(whatever you want to say), has the potential for having a great impact on them!

Everyone wants to feel as if they are missed when they are away. Even if you have no contact with your love (or maybe especially if you have no contact with your love), reminding them through your love spell work, that you MISS them, you miss your time together, you miss his/her voice, etc., just has to have positive effect on them. Second, I think this is something we might often forget to say. We get so wrapped up in doing love spell work and sending and receiving love energy, that something as simple as, "I miss you" might elude us. ;-)

So try it! For those of you whom I haven't seen in awhile - I miss you! Never forget that! I really, truly do. I wish we were together more often. :-)

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to talk a little bit about what happens when the spells are completed. I have had a lot of clients recently asking about that.

Let's say you are doing love spell work, and you have just completed the trio of love spells.  This is usually when things really start to happen, and we always say that things happens when they are menat to for the best and most lasting results, and that is true. Everyone's case is different even if they seem similar on the surface and every HD (Heart's Desire - the person you are working on) is different.  They all process the spell work differently.

Sometimes it might seem like nothing is happening or that things has gone from bad to worse BUT most of the time, it's all part of the processing. Of course there are situations where the spells just don't work the way we want them too, I won't say...  not work, because even in the situations where we don't get what we asked for, something seems to always change for the better. Real spell work is not about reciting some magical formula and then have everything change instantly just the way we want it too. Yes, a lot of times, even I am blown away by how things comes to pass exactly as I asked for... and by clients stories, but real magick is a process, not an instant waving of a magical wand like in children's fairytales:-) It is a beautiful process though and we learn so much about ourselves along the way.

So, in order not to get off topic, when the spells are completed, they are out there; they don't expire. When you are asking the Lwa (voodoo spirits) for help, they listen and they then do everything in their power to help you with your troubling situation. They have the advantage of seeing the complete situation and know what is happening with the person you are working on too. They also are Master Strategists... and can set things in motion that none of us would be able to figure out:-) So when the spells are completed, they are still working on your desire for you. And every time you use your gris gris bags or your Sacred Mysteries Holy Relic card, you are adding even more energy towards the situation.

Anything else you do after the spells are completed is also building on the original spell energy. All our products are cumulative, they build on each other:-)

And, the best thing you can do is to stay positive and focused on your ultimate goal. Not too much on what things are like now, but on where you want the to be. The power of positive expectations and thoughts is really amazing, AND when you add spell work to the mix... you are throwing in some tremendous power!

I remember when I did my very first spell. I was saying to myself... "Wow, this is like affirmations but a hundred times more powerful" I had been in to affirmations and creative visualization for a very long time before I found Spellmaker (Thank God I did! I can't even imagine if I hadn't for so many more reasons than spell work. Life is funny though, I had no idea back then that I would one day be part of the Spellmaker family and having the privilige to work closely with some of our amazing clients)

By choosing to do spell work, you have some amazing tools at hand. That goes for hether you are doing Love work, money work, luck.. or any of our products. But to truly make the most of the power from the spell work, your attitude, thoughts and belief should match that. Is that making sense? Of course it can be a challenge some times, but practice makes perfect!:-)
