  • Milk of Damballah White Bath Ongoing Possibilities!

      White bath (2)
Happy Saturday, everyone!  As Sister Bridget recently mentioned in her blog, we now have “refill” or “replacement” packs for our Haitian Vodou Formula Baths

One of our most popular baths, the Milk of Damballahβ„’ White Bath is something that I have actually been recommending to certain clients for years as something that can be re-done in parts.  Most of the time these clients were folks who were working on especially hard love case, tough job or money goal, anything that seemed fraught with ongoing negativity.  In those cases, I recommended that they do the original bath and then buy another one and take the herbs out of the herb packet and divide the other part of the bath mixture and do a refresh on the bath over several days or weeks, as necessary.

In those cases, I recommended that they just use a little bit at a time any time they were feeling down or sad or negative about their particular case, no matter what the reason.  Having done the original bath, they could easily call back on that energy.  The great thing about now having the refill packs is that you no longer have to keep buying the complete white bath if you have recently done one.

One thing, however, like Sister Bridget said, we hate to keep harping on it, but you must first do the original bath before using the refresher pack.  If you don’t, you are wasting your time using the refresher pack. πŸ™‚  Also, if it has been more than a year since you did the original bath, I would suggest redoing the original bath in its entirety if you have not done any refreshers.  However, if you are doing refreshers regularly, you can just keep going with that!

Especially with the white bath, it would be nice to think that you would be rid of negativity forever!  What a world that would be!  Unfortunately, we are all bombarded by negative images, thoughts, and energies almost every day of our life.  Getting rid of them can lead to better health, attainment of goals, lifting of depression and so much more.  Yes, sometimes you have to work at it, but the results are so worth it!

    Love to all!

  • GOD AS THE BOOGEY-MAN.

Hello, my dear readers!  Recently a friend of mine came to me with some issues of spirituality regarding a family member.  This particular family member was having various symptoms which led her to believe that there might be a spiritual component to the symptoms and after discussing it and coming to the conclusion that there were spiritual components, we started to discuss appropriate treatments.

As I always do in these situations I asked her, "Is Fred more of a God person or more of, oh, say a Universal Energy type person?"  My question was based on the fact that many people, while spiritual, balk at even the word "God."  It has come to mean something unpleasant to them, or unbelieveable, even.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that so many adults have turned away from the idea of God because as children God is used as a threat against us.  We are taught to fear rather than revere. So as adults, why would we turn to someone/thing that has been used against us?  God has been used as the boogey-man!  Why would we try to find comfort there?  Many, many people just do not and, instead, if they are left with any spirituality at all, tend to find more comfort in the idea of Cosmic Consciousness, Universal Energy, that kind of thing. While I think that is fine, I feel that many people are missing out on the God Experience.

I think God has been given a bad rap. Don't be afraid – embrace the idea of something bigger than yourself!  Embrace the idea that "God" can mean whatever you want it to you.  You don't have to follow the God beliefs of someone else. God is so powerful that you can choose to tap into that power in a number of ways.  The God of your childhood is a grown up now, just like you!  So don't be shying away from the God in your Heart, the God Within, or the God Without; the comfort of the God energy is universal, powerful, and free for the taking.  You only need to open up your heart and mind to it!

    Love to all!

  • The New Charms are Ready!!!!

Hello everyone!  Just a quick note to let you all know that the first batch of new charms are ready!  I cannot even tell you how excited we are to offer these.  They are so nice and such a good quality… all shiny stainless steel on black leather cords with stainless steel clasps.  Nice!

Also, we are doing things a bit differently this time with charms:  Each charm is dedicated to a specific lwa and you will know who that lwa is. Our old charms were dedicated a little bit differently and worked great, but we are feeling these are going to be even better.  Now this doesn't mean throw your old charms away!  NO way!  However, you can use these with them or alone.

One thing that was a little disappointing about the old charms was that over the years the manufacturing of them had degenerated quite a bit.  When we first started carrying them almost 15 years ago, they were much better.  But as time passed, we noticed that we were getting a more inferior quality.  Now, that would not affect the overall efficacy of the charm, but still, we want to be giving you something nice for your money, too.  I mean I could consecrate a paper clip and it would have some power, but no one particularly wants to wear that… hmmm, wait, I think I saw a girl wearing a paper clip earring the other day so nevermind!  LOL.

Anyway, go check them out!!  We are excited!  Can you tell?  πŸ˜‰

  • Working on the comparative religion project!

Hello my good readers!  Thank you all for the great suggestions for different religious aspects you would like explore in blending your magickal and/or Vodou practives with your other religious practices.  You have all given me some great ideas and asked some really wonderful questions.  I will start putting this project together and start posting it next week sometime.

In the meantime, I also wanted to mention that many of you are still doing the 9-day meditation practice that was previously posted. Please do continue to do it and feel free to post your comments even though many people already did the exercises.  Those exercises were truly meant for you to keep and do any time that you feel like you need them.

As you move along in doing those exercises, and do them more often, you will start to become more familiar with them, make them your own, and break them down into pieces.   I will be blogging more about those exercises as well so that we can refine their usage for you.  There are many uses for them to help you reach specific goals and manage different needs.  So, that was definitely not a one-time usage item!  πŸ™‚

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

  • Universal Love – Live it, Love it!

    WPwithinEveryatom

Think about this!  What is the message there?  Is love available to everyone?  Are we all taking the time to actually feel that love and the warmth of it?  How accepting of love are we really?  If we cannot experience Universal Love and love of one's self, can we truly experience romantic love?  Just asking!  Love to hear your opinions.  Remember everyone, you can read everyone's comments and make your own simply by clicking on the "comments" link below each individual post.  πŸ™‚

  • Study: Optimism Key for Women’s Health

Hello everyone! I really like this article (listed below)! πŸ™‚ I don't think that optimism being key to health is just for women! However, that is what the study was based on. You know, we are always recommending clients to be positive, to stay hopeful, etc. because one will almost always get a better spell casting result. But when you think about what this article is saying, there are more reasons to be positive besides getting what you want!

  • Patience.

Hello everyone!  Can't believe it is already July!  :-)  I know we have talked about the subject of patience before, but I ran across an article that I thought might be really helpful for everyone.  Probably one of the biggest issues that I find with people who are trying spell casting is that they run out of patience before they can reach their goal.  This is becoming more and more true.

Just by the very nature of our society with "instant messaging" abounding, we are all now seeming to expect that our lives will "instantly" manifest for us just in the way that we expect them to.  Well, although technology has jetted us into some kind of alternate universe that we THINK we live in, guess what, the REAL universe hasn't changed that much.  Life isn't an XBox game nor is it a Facebook page nor a tweet on Twitter.  Those things are peripherals to the real life that still exists seemingly to be ignored by quite a few people.

More and more I hear from clients that they don't want to wait, they want everything now, and even the least amount of waiting sends some of them into an angry orbit.  Some of the stress levels that I see from even the youngest clients worries me; I want to tell them just to slow down before God slows them down permanently.  I just don't see how they can continue to live like this where everything is supposed to happen at the pace of a ding on their phone with yet another text message coming in.

A lot of people no longer seem to want to grow with the process; they don't want to improve themselves or their spirituality.  They don't want to learn about themselves or, gasp, change anything about themselves.  It is all about instant gratification; an eternal rat race to get more and better gratifications that in the long run turn out to be not at all what they thought it would be and so now we need a prescription to alter our minds and makes us think we are gratified.  Slow down, people!  Experience what is in your life – quit jumping from thing to thing looking for the bigger, better, faster "thing."

Don't get me wrong, I love the technology that allow us to communicate with each other and be in touch – if only it were truly used that way.  Instead, I think it just gets to be information overload as we jump from one tweet to another without even a moment's consideration of feeling something about what we just read…. gotta get to the next tweet – it might be something even more important!  It isn't the technology I have a problem with!  I use it all.  What I am concerned about is people's inability to get beyond this technology and remember to live their real lives.

Anyway, I think this short article is great and I have inserted some comments into it.  Kudos to the author!  I couldn't have said it better myself.

    Love, light, and peace,
    Mambo Samantha Corfield

    THE ARTICLE

How To Develop Patience – by Steve Scoresby

In a world of instant gratification, people jump from "stimulus" to "response" without as much as a second thought. Patience is the "pause" in between that allows us to get the result we are really looking for. Here is how to develop more patience in your life.

Webster's defines patience as bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint, or being steadfast despite opposition, difficulty or adversity. I believe this why patience is called a virtue. It is little practiced, but much needed. At the first sign of difficulty, many jump to an easier, smoother path, hoping to avoid the pain and suffering that is necessary on the road to personal growth. But it is only by taking this rough road do we gain the experience necessary to develop our character. Impatience robs us of these types of life experiences. How would your world be different if you practiced more patience?

Patience is the ability to hang on when everyone else has given up. Patience is ability to release your need for immediate gratification and wait for the things to come in their own time frame. Patience overcomes criticism and intolerance. Patience develops committed relationships in marriage, family, church, community and career. Many a great leader have displayed patience by looking before they leaped, thinking before they acted, and considering before they decided. Patience is the mark of maturity. So now we know the virtues of patience, how do we develop more patience?

First, realize that no one is perfect, including yourself. Accept yourself and others, imperfections and all. Everyone is struggling with their own set of fears, weaknesses, obstacles and crises. We are all on the road of personal growth together and can help each other by showing more patience and kindness to each other.

    >>> MAMBO'S NOTE:  This is so true! So many times there seems to be a forgetfulness in people doing spell work that their HD might be going through something in their life, TOO. When it is pointed out, generally the response is that one doesn't care about that, just hurry up and get to me!

Second, develop a consistent philosophy of life based upon a value system you believe in. Then when you are confronted with a situation, you can make your choice based upon the value system rather than an instant gratification response. With every choice is a consequence. Do you act now and settle? Or do you wait to get the result you truly desire?

Third, change your perspective on the past, present and the future. Stop dwelling on your mistakes and failures. They cannot be changed. Instead, focus and what you can do now to make a difference. Life is a blessing and each day should be lived as if it were your last. Start fresh everyday and remember the future comes one day at a time. What can you do today to change the results you have in the future?

Fourth, confront your fears rather than avoid them. Do the thing you fear the most and the fear will go away. "That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed, but our ability to do it has increased." By doing more, it becomes easier, and when it becomes easier it becomes fun rather than stressful.

Finally, realize that all things come to those who wait. The Universe, the infinite force that connects us all, will bring the people who can help, the answers you may need, the tools and resources you are looking for when you need them. You must have faith and be patient and believe in your goals, realizing that they will often not be accomplished according to your original plans. Circumstances change. People change. Things change. Let go of your anxiety, disbelief and doubt about achieving your goal. Know that The Universe is constantly supporting you and will always help you achieve the things you desire. Just be patient!

  • Papa Legba Month!

Hi everyone! Hopefully by now you have received the special email about June being Papa Legba month at www.spellmaker.com!

We will be doing three FREE main rituals on the feast days of the three saints with which Papa is syncretized. These three feast days all fall in June, thus our proclamation of June as Papa Alegba Month at Spellmaker! (June 13-Saint Anthony,June 21-Saint Lazarus,June 29-St. Peter). We will also be doing rituals throughout the month of June, but the main rituals will be on those days.

Of course, we are encouraging yuo to you to send in a letter with your petitions that you would like to be included in the rituals for Papa Alegba. When writing your letter, please be sure that you are writing the letter to Papa Alegba himself, and be sure that your letter is appropriate. For example, you would NOT write to Papa Alegba asking, “Please make Johnny love me.” However, if yours is a love case you could ask Papa to “Please open communication between Johnny and I so that he can see the love in my heart.” The difference is subtle, but important. You could also ask Papa to remove blockages and clear the path between you and the one you love.

Communication is such a huge part of all relationships of any kind – love, work, friends, etc. Remember, Papa not only speaks all languages but has the ability to translate all languages. So asking him to “translate” your words into words that someone else can understand is a really good petition.

Of course, if you do not have a love situation, you could ask that Papa open the gate and clear the path to any goal that you have in mind. You can ask for anything, but to be most effective, try to be sure that what you are asking is within the scope of Papa!

To be included in these rituals, please email your petition to papalegba@spellmaker.com. There is no charge at all to be included in these rituals and you do not need to purchase anything at all. If you do have or will be getting the Papa Alegba Knock-Knock™ Ritual Kit, or any of the other products, using them on the days we are doing the rituals will maximize their effectiveness for you! You certainly could just light some candles and use Papa’s oil and incense or take the Papa Alegba Clear Path™ Red and White bath. Anything you can do on those days, or any days in June, will be helpful in realizing your petitions. We have decided not to do a special ritual pack for this ritual because we already have specialized products for Papa that you can use during our ritual days.

We have also included, on Papa’s page, a small, free ritual that you can do if you don’t have the Papa Alegba Knock Knock™ Ritual pack and/or cannot afford to purchase it right now. Money, or the lack of it, hopefully will not prevent you from participating!

For the first time, also, there is a “donation button” on the Papa Legba page. Many folks have requested a way to donate for these free rituals that we do – just to help us cover costs, etc., if they weren’t planning on purchasing anything in particular at that time. It is neither required nor expected for anyone to donate anything, but for those of you asked to have a way to donate, the donate button is toward the bottom of the page at www.spellmaker.com/legba.htm. Thank you to those of you who asked for a way to donate! We appreciate it. πŸ™‚

Again, these rituals will be ongoing through June. The sooner you get your petition letter in to papalegba@spellmaker.com, the more times your letter will be included in the rituals! We really look forward to doing these rituals.
