{"id":1110,"date":"2026-04-23T17:01:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T17:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spellmaker.com\/blog\/?p=1110"},"modified":"2026-04-23T17:01:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T17:01:24","slug":"its-okay-to-still-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spellmaker.com\/blog\/?p=1110","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s Okay to Still Care&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There\u2019s this quiet pressure people don\u2019t talk about much, the idea that once something hurts you, you should be \u201cover it.\u201d That if someone disappointed you, pulled away, or left you confused, the right response is to shut the door, lock it, and never look back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that\u2019s not how the heart works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes you can see something clearly and still care.<br>Sometimes you can know a situation isn\u2019t right and still feel connected to it.<br>Sometimes you can be hurt and still miss the person who hurt you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of that makes you weak. It makes you human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feelings don\u2019t follow logic. They don\u2019t switch off just because something didn\u2019t go the way you hoped. The connection you felt, the moments you shared, the meaning you gave it, those things don\u2019t disappear overnight just because the situation changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And trying to force yourself not to care can actually make things harder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might find yourself thinking, \u201cWhy am I still like this?\u201d or \u201cI should be past this by now.\u201d But there is no fixed timeline for the heart. There is no rule that says you have to feel a certain way by a certain day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re allowed to take your time with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caring doesn\u2019t mean you have to go backwards.<br>Caring doesn\u2019t mean you have to reach out.<br>Caring doesn\u2019t mean you have to accept less than you deserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It just means that what you felt was real to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a difference between holding onto someone in a way that hurts you and simply acknowledging that a part of you still cares. One keeps you stuck.
