Because of its associations with the harvest, the apple is perfect for Mabon magic.

To include apples in your magical spells and rituals, consider adding them to your fall altars, placing them around your home in bowls and baskets, or cooking some of your favorite apple dishes to serve at mealtimes. Use the wood from an apple tree to craft runes, Ogham staves, or a wand or staff. If you're lucky enough to have a bit of land for planting, consider adding a few apple trees to your property; they'll start producing fruit when they're a few years old, and you can take advantage of their magic all year long!

Apples have always been popular tools for foretelling the future. There are a number of traditional methods in folklore for seeing who one's lover might be.

    • Peel the apple, keeping the peel in one long piece. When the peel comes off, drop it on the floor. The letter it forms is the first initial of your true love's name.
    • Wait until midnight and cut an apple into nine pieces. Take the pieces into a dark room with a mirror (either hanging on the wall or a hand-held one will do). At midnight, begin eating the pieces of apple while looking into the mirror. When you get to the ninth piece, throw it over your shoulder. The face of your lover should appear in the mirror.
    • If a girl has more than one potential lover, peel an apple and pull out the seeds. Place a wet seed on your cheek for each boyfriend. The last one left stuck to the skin represents the suitor who is the true love.

  • Lucky Money Spell! Free!

    Hey there!

This spell is free to be downloaded and used. It is a sample from our "Spells Only" available at Spellmaker.com! — Mambo Sam

    Lucky Money Spell

    Equipment needed:

*Play paper money – the larger the denominations, the better.

*Two green candles and one white, big enough to last burning 9 days, 9 minutes a day.

    *9 cloves.

    *A whole nutmeg.

*Lucky Oil – made from equal parts of pure virgin olive oil and rose oil (rose oil is available at any store that sells essential oils).

    *A $1.00, $5.00, or $10.00 bill that you won’t mind donating later.

    Spell Casting Steps:

*Inscribe your name down the front of the white candle, using a twig from a green tree.

*On each green candle inscribe three dollar signs.

*Dip your finger in the Lucky Oil and rub it all over the candles repeating 9 times:

“By the power of the elements, I empower you.”

*Set the candles on a table where they will not be disturbed, except by you for 9 days.

*Put the white candle between the two green candles.

*Surround the candles completely with the play money, reserving two large  denomination bills.

*Sprinkle the cloves on top of the money.

*Wrap the whole nutmeg up in your real money. Place it in front of the candle with   your name on it.

*Each day for 9 days burn the candle for 9 minutes. During these 9 minutes you should   concentrate on your luck with money; how you will make the right decisions concerning  money, how money will come to you through lotteries, gambling, any “lucky" money

*On the Ninth Day, let the candles burn out completely while you concentrate on   your petition.

*On the Ninth Day, take the real money unwrapped from the nutmeg and give it to   what you consider a good cause.

*On the Ninth Day, put all the equipment used in the spell together in a safe place.

At the end of 9 days you may discard the equipment discreetly keeping it all together.

Burial is the preferred form of discarding.

NOTE: Keep the nutmeg in your purse, pocket, or wallet as a good luck charm.

Use the cloves in cooking when you want to feel especially lucky (for example, before going gambling).

    Mambo Sam
