Well, its nearly February again, and Marran Sam's New Orlean's Voodoo Family is gearing up for its annual month long ritual to the most beloved love lwa, Erzulie Freda. Past years have been very rewarding and sucessful, and we very much look forward to this year's riitual!
This is a totally free ritual – anyone can send in a request to erzulie@spellmaker.com No purchase is required to participate. This year, Mambo Sam has written up some instructions for people who would like to participate as well, but again, no purchase is necessary. There is a ritual kit available along the lines of the one crafted for the Sobo ritual done not so long ago, for people who are interested.

Hey Gang!
Well, Happy Winter, Happy Solstice! Finally, the days begin to become longer again! Do any of you have any special traditions for this day? If you do, I would love to hear about them, Please post a comment below, and we can get a little conversation going about this special time of the year! I personally go out and collect all my bird feeders, wash them out, clean them up, repair if needed, and fill them up right full with fresh, wonderful seeds. I also get my suet feeder out, and fill that as well. If I need to, I run down to the hardware store and get enough bird seed and suet to last me a while. Gotta take care of those little birdies!

So, after doing the usual mundane stuff this morning, I decided to refresh a couple of my altar spaces. Both Agwe and Gran Bwa have kinda been asking for "more space" in odd ways, so today was the day I decided to make that happen. I have posted 2 new picures in my photo album. Go take a peek!

Along with being an Initiated Daughter of Marran Samantha Corfield and Parran Matthew Corfield in New Orleans Voodoo, I am also have been studying and practicing Reiki for many years. I am a Reiki Master and Teacher of both Usui-Tibetan and Karuna Reiki. If you would like to read more about Reiki, I have several articles posted here on my blog.
To submit a request, simply send me an email at bridget@spellmaker.com with your name and/or the name of the person (or animal- I love to work with pets as well!) you are requesting healing for. Every day, I will spend some time sending Reiki to everyone on the list.
Requests will be “cleaned out” on the first of each month unless you request otherwise. You are welcome to resubmit your request for as many months as you wish.
