What Happens Tomorrow?

…..this is such a common question I hear from clients. It is so easy in the process of magick to get caught up in the minutia of day to day events, and lose our sight of the long term goal.

"S/he un-friended me on FB"

"S/he has a new friend on FB"

"S/he saw me online but did not chat with me"

"S/he drove past me but did not wave"

etc etc etc

the list could go on, but you get the idea (PS these are REALLY very common things I hear from folks, I am in no way singleling anyone out at all – please dont think that). While in the moment, and with the emotional state we can be in with casting and processing (Yup – the spell CASTER does some processing as well) I can see how these events listed above, and others, can make one thing the world is falling apart…..but if we just take a beat, and a few deep breaths, and set our sights on the long term goal again, things will resume there proper perspective – I promise! Waiting is hard – I often think it is the hardest part of things – but it is also the extremely important! The calmer and more centered and more positive you can stay in the waiting peroid, the better shape you will be in physically, emotionally, and spiritually when your results begin to manifest 😉 That is NOT to be underrated. You cant give from an empty cup, and there arent any awards for handwringing, either. Make the best of the waiting period, keep your eye on the GOAL LINE, not on the ant on the blade of grass at your feet right now, and you will get to the finish line a healthier, fuller YOU.

Hmmmm – not sure where that rant came from, but I feel better now 😉

September 27th ~~ St. Vincent de Paul

One of my favorite Saints, EVER! Why? Partly because of the quotes at the bottom of this post, and he did great works for the poor, and is the patron Saint of Charities, but also, because, well, he was known to be a grouch! Granted, a grouch who was extremely sensitive to the needs of others, but also human as well, with his own frailties. I have not ever read about a Saint before where they were quite described in this manner, and it brings to the fore for me that we can all do good work, and sometimes, just sometimes, not feel very "Saintly" Anyway, if you would like to read more about St Vincent De Paul, please look here!

Love Potion #9 Update!

Hello everyone! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, that was a lot of potion that I made yesterday! LOL. It was so much fun to do it that way, though. I really felt so much energy and good vibrations from doing those big old pots of love potion!!

Even though I made quite a bit of it, I am going to only leave it up for sale another 24 hours. When all the orders are filled that already came in, if I have any left over, I will put those jars up for sale again. Right at this minute, I know that I have quite a few "extra" jars left, but I obviously want to make sure that everyone who ordered gets their order! So, this is only going to be available another 24 hours, but, as I said, if there is extra, I will put it back up for sale.

For those of you who made your own potion, and those of you who are getting the potion I made, remember there are a lot of ways to use this potion. I believe Sister Bridget is going to post some ideas on how to use the potion. Remember, a little bit of this potion goes a long way! You only need to add in a few drops of it to something else – not necessarily to get your intended to drink a whole glass of it! 🙂 Have fun with it!

Happy 09/09/09 to you!

Hello all you magickal creatures! :-) Parran Matt and I are preparing all the ingredients to make our Love Potion #9 for those of you who ordered it! We have all the big pots in the house filling up with wine. I picked the basil and roses right out of our own garden and we harvested the apple seeds last night (I am going to be making a lot of apple pie filling later on!).

Don't forget, though, this is a great day to do ANY magick, say prayers, light a candle, do whatever spiritual endeavors you like. The power of the triple 3's in the 09/09/09 day is sure to give a huge boost to whatever magick you are doing!

Even if you can't do any magick today, try to allow the energy and power of this day wash over you. Make it a lucky day for you! Do something wonderful for yourself and someone else – remember that magick needs a carrier! Be the magickal carrier today – spread joy and luck from your heart to the heart of others.

The New Charms are Ready!!!!

Hello everyone! Just a quick note to let you all know that the first batch of new charms are ready! I cannot even tell you how excited we are to offer these. They are so nice and such a good quality… all shiny stainless steel on black leather cords with stainless steel clasps. Nice!

Also, we are doing things a bit differently this time with charms: Each charm is dedicated to a specific lwa and you will know who that lwa is. Our old charms were dedicated a little bit differently and worked great, but we are feeling these are going to be even better. Now this doesn't mean throw your old charms away! NO way! However, you can use these with them or alone.

One thing that was a little disappointing about the old charms was that over the years the manufacturing of them had degenerated quite a bit. When we first started carrying them almost 15 years ago, they were much better. But as time passed, we noticed that we were getting a more inferior quality. Now, that would not affect the overall efficacy of the charm, but still, we want to be giving you something nice for your money, too. I mean I could consecrate a paper clip and it would have some power, but no one particularly wants to wear that… hmmm, wait, I think I saw a girl wearing a paper clip earring the other day so nevermind! LOL.

Anyway, go check them out!! We are excited! Can you tell? 😉

Love Potion #9 Will Be Available!

Wheee!!! Okay, there was a really good response from those of you who would like me to go ahead and make the Love Potion #9 on 09/09/09. :-)

Now, of course, as most of you know, generally we simply offer the recipe on our website and everyone makes their own batch of potion as desired. However, we just couldn't resist the idea of making this on 09/09/09 – I mean, we won't get another chance at this in our lifetimes, so that made it pretty irresistible! 🙂

After thinking about it for awhile, what I have decided to do is pressure can it. I can a lot of vegetables, soups, salsa, etc., and so I have a pressure canner and so will end up sealing this potion in 8 ounce jars. This is going to help us all out a lot because it will preserve it much longer than the usual recommended one year to keep this potion!

Realistically speaking, I feel that I can only successfully make about 40 jars for it to be effective. I need to make the potion itself within that 9:00 a.m. hour – so however much I can make in an hour will be what we will have. I am sort of guessing at the 40 jars, but I feel confident I can make that much for sure. The canning process itself will obviously take longer, but the batches would already be made and just needing to be canned.

I have pasted in below the information that I just put up on the website about the potion, buying the potion, etc. Of course, as with everything we sell, we will include an instruction sheet with the jars of potion.

Information concerning purchasing our special batch of 09/09/09 Love Potion #9:
(Please read carefully so that you understand what you are getting!)
Mambo Sam will make a big batch of this potion on 09/09/09. Normally, we do not make and/or sell this potion – we recommend that everyone make their own.
However, since we won't get another chance in our life time to do this again on this amazing date, we have decided to make a batch this year and offer it to those who want it.
Please be aware that normally we would never sell anything that is edible or meant to be taken internally in any way, this will be an exception to that rule! Because we are not licensed to sell anything that anyone would eat or drink, by your purchase of this item you are accepting that this was made in a home kitchen, under extremely clean and as sterile as possible, circumstances.
To further insure the viability and storage of the potion, Mambo Sam will can the potion with a pressure canner. This will preserve it for maximum freshness and the potion will more than likely last much longer than one year. Your potion will come in a heat sealed, 8 ounce glass jar. Until you break the seal, the potion will keep for quite some time!
You will have the option to have her consecrate your particular bottle of potion just in your name (so you decide later upon whom you want to use it) OR in the name of you and someone specific OR have it consecrated for someone else entirely (for instance, if you wanted to give it to someone as a gift).
Since these will be pressure sealed, you will have the option to buy more than one jar in order to keep it longer safely.
We are asking that you order this product separately, apart from other products, and then email us at customerservice@spellmaker.com and tell us how you want your jar(s) consecrated once you have paid for it.
