  • Happy New Year!

Hello everyone and a big wish for a Happy New Year to all!  It is always so invigorating and exciting to start a brand new year.  I hope that your 2011 will be filled with wonder, joy, excitement, and magick!

Looking out over the Spellmaker 2011 plans, it is great to see some old favorites coming up – the annual Erzulie’s Valentine’s Day Ritual, the start up again of the Free Prayer Group in February, of course the annual St. Patrick’s Day ritual to Sobo – not to mention that we will be doing another video voodoo conference this year!  Plus, we are planning to do a big free ancestor ritual to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of my father on 11/11/11.  It will be a great birthday party and an open party to honor your own ancestors.

Needless to say, there will be more public events that we will be doing, so please do stay tuned for more info!

In the meantime, take care of yourselves and have a safe and peaceful holiday weekend.  Love to all!

  • Prayer Group for Pets!

    Hi There,

Over the years I have been working with our Spellmaker family clients, I have received many prayer requests, and often they are for the pets of a client or one of their friends or family members. Lately, the numbers of requests has been increasing! So I am forming a prayer list just for this need. This year, I have been working more and more with Gran Bwa, so be sure he will be involved in the process, along with our dear, sweet Papa Legba. More information will be available soon, but requests for prayers can be submitted now to prayforpets@spellmaker.com

  • Hand Mixed Vodou Baths!

    Hi there!

On my last trip out to visit MaParents this Fall, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Parran Matt in the Spellmaker workshop and assist a bit with making products. Here are a few pictures of Parran Matt hand mixing some of our Vodou Baths…..

  • Dollar Store Find!

    Fg2010 001

    Hi there!

Those of you who were at our recent Video Conference saw the Dollar Store Voodoo presentation by Mambo Sam and myself. These two little fellows are my most recent dollar store find, just before Fet Ghede. Arent they adorable? They were 2 for a dollar! I used them on my Fet Ghede altar this year 🙂

  • Ti Hochet!

    Hi There!

On my trip to New Mexico last month to visit Marran and Parran, I received my second sacred rattle as a Voodoo Priestess. It is called a ti hochet (or little hochet) and it belonged to Marran before she took the Asson. I am very honored to add this special instrument into my "Voodoo Toolbox" and to be of service to our family members and clients.

  • Fall and Winter Service to Gran Bwa!

      Fg2010 016

Just because the leaves are off the trees, doesn't mean we can't continue to serve Gran Bwa! Feeding the birds is a wonderful way to serve Gran Bwa in the colder months. Here is a bird feeder I found at the siore that reminded me of Ogoun as well 🙂
