    What kind of reading is this?

    You choose which lwa(s) (Vodou Spirit) you would like Mambo Sam to contact for guidance on your life, situation, etc. Mambo will then call upon that particular lwa to answer your questions as well as give you any other guidance they might have for you.

    This reading will be done with only one lwa per reading, giving you in depth information that the lwa you have chosen wants to let you know. Mambo will record the reading and send it to you within 7 days (if you order more than one reading, they will be done and sent each individually, which will take more than 7 days). The recording will always be yours to refer to as desired.

    You can order up to three readings at a time for a substantial discount. More detailed information: Mambo will go through a process of calling in your lwa with the help of Papa Legba. Or, you can get guidance from Papa Legba himself! Once your lwa is called in, Mambo will ask the questions that you want answered. She will give you the information as it comes to her directly from the lwa. This reading is NOT Mambo's opinion or information she personally wants you to have. This information will come directly from the lwa.

    If there is anything that she feels the lwa do not want to answer or can't answer, she will let you know that. This would be rare, but sometimes not even the Spirits can answer certain questions.

    You are not present at this reading. Mambo will record every part of the reading with the Spirits and that is what will be sent to you.

    If you order more than one reading, each reading will be done as an individual reading with separate recordings for each reading.

    As many of you may already know – tomorrow, February 2, is St. Brigid's day, Imbolc, Candlemas,
    and the Feast of St. Brigid.  To Vodouisants, Catholics, Pagans, and more, this is a wonderful day anticipating spring, looking for new love, and being ready to shed off the cold of winter.

    A popular prayer for this day is:

    "Blessed be the earth, and all who dwell upon it.

    We give thanks for the season now departing from us,
    For the blessings it has bestowed upon us,
    And upon those with whom we share this world.

    Blessed be the new season.
    We pray that it will be a time filled with peace,
    With abundance, with prosperity,

    For Vodouisants, tonight, the eve of  St. Brigid's Day, is when we put a piece of clothing outside for Maman Brigitte to bless with her healing powers.  Take any piece of clothing, or even a scarf to tie your head with, and put it outside tonight.  Ask Maman Brigitte to walk your way tonight and bless that piece of clothing.  Light a small fire outside for a little while, even if you just burn a candle. Before you go to bed, burn the veve of Maman Brigitte in the fire. Then put that fire or candle out.  Make sure the wax is smoothed down  or that the ashes are smoothed down if you lit a small fire.  Any kind of mark or disturbance of the wax or ashes the next day is considered a sign that Maman was there and blessed your piece of clothing!

    Now you can wear that piece of clothing any time you aren't feeling well or you doing healing work or healing prayers for someone else.
