  • Cookie Therapy!

    Hello!

On my recent trip to visit MaParents (Marran and Parran Corfield), day 1 of my trip consisted of some time to kick back and relax and undergo some cookie therapy. WHAT?? you say! What is cookie therapy? Well…..the dictionary definition of therapy is -  treatment of physical, mental, or behavioral problems that is meant to cure or rehabilitate somebody. And let me tell you, cookie baking and decorating can cure ALOT of things!

    ABQSpring2011 001 Start with a clean workspace…..
    ABQSpring2011 002 Bake some cookies…..
ABQSpring2011 008 Pick your colors, piping or flooding (I learned all about frosting the fancy way! Tho I think Martha Stewart's job is safe with me around….)
    ABQSpring2011 026 PURDY!
ABQSpring2011 025 And not so purdy, but rather cathartic cookies.
    ABQSpring2011 027 Cookies for the Lwa 🙂

And there you have it – Cookie therapy while on vacation the Albuquerque way.

  • Hand Mixed Vodou Baths!

    Hi there!

On my last trip out to visit MaParents this Fall, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Parran Matt in the Spellmaker workshop and assist a bit with making products. Here are a few pictures of Parran Matt hand mixing some of our Vodou Baths…..

  • Dollar Store Find!

    Fg2010 001

    Hi there!

Those of you who were at our recent Video Conference saw the Dollar Store Voodoo presentation by Mambo Sam and myself. These two little fellows are my most recent dollar store find, just before Fet Ghede. Arent they adorable? They were 2 for a dollar! I used them on my Fet Ghede altar this year 🙂

  • Ti Hochet!

    Lampsoct 095

    Hi There!

On my trip to New Mexico last month to visit Marran and Parran, I received my second sacred rattle as a Voodoo Priestess. It is called a ti hochet (or little hochet) and it belonged to Marran before she took the Asson. I am very honored to add this special instrument into my "Voodoo Toolbox" and to be of service to our family members and clients.

  • Fall and Winter Service to Gran Bwa!

      Fg2010 016

Just because the leaves are off the trees, doesn't mean we can't continue to serve Gran Bwa! Feeding the birds is a wonderful way to serve Gran Bwa in the colder months. Here is a bird feeder I found at the siore that reminded me of Ogoun as well 🙂

  • Feast of the Archangels

    Hello everyone!

Today is the Feast of the Archangels – Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel.  :-)  I won't go into detail here except to say that this is a GREAT power day for Vodouisants and other spiritualists.  If you come to the Spellmaker Online Voodoo Conference in September, I will be explaining how this particular feast day figures into our New Orleans Voodoo liturgy!

Of course,I bet some of my smartie pants Khouzhans can figure it out!  LOL.  Love you!

  • Share your Ogoun stories with us!

    Hey there!

Do you have a favorite story about our beloved Ogoun that you would like to share? Recently, I was speaking with a friend and she relayed an incredible account to me about how Ogoun helped her through a very difficult situation.  It got me wondering who else out there might have an Ogoun story they might like to share. If you have an experience you would like to share, please do so here in the comments section 😉 Also, if you are on Facebook, you could post your experience here.

Looking forward to reading about your adventures with Ogoun!
