Ok, so for this weeks Card of the Week, we are getting back to basics! I have taken out my Voodoo Tarot deck. The Voodoo Tarot of New Orleans is a deck rich in primal spirituality. This exceptional deck is most often used to ask questions regarding the joy, fury, and spirituality in everyday life. So, the card that came soooooooooo easily and soooooooooo quickly out of the deck was our most beloved Erzulie Freda! Let’s keep it simple this week, shall we? Well this is easy for me!!!! Erzulie is my Met Tet and I love to serve and honor her all the time. (Side note, for those of you who don’t know your Met Tet, and are dedicated to serving the Lwa, you should get one done and especially the training on how to serve them…..it is very valuable information and the best thing is, you can talk to them at ANYTIME, they are with you all the time, you dont have to call on them through Papa, they are there, just start chatting….but get a Met Tet Reading and Training with Mambo Sam, you will NOT be disappointed!!!) Back to Erzulie….I plan on doing many things for Erzulie this week. Along with the Quick Communication Spell Mambo posted on her blog, I intend to ask Erzulie to also infuse my request with her energy so it is more powerful. I also just tend to honor her by leaving offerings of some of her favorites: pink champagne of course, chocolate and everytime I set out snowballs I get good chills running up and down my arms so I know she likes those :), more so to just thank her for being a part of my life. Sometimes the best things I do for Erzulie is just to really treat her like my friend and not someone I go to everytime for something (as all the Lwa should be treated, but for her as I go to her often). I also LOVE the Sheer Goddess Products and use them daily so everyday like it or not I am honoring her and my skin is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I know she is with me when I feel a slight tingling sensation that envelopes me, especially when I am having a crisis or starting to “freak” out over something and I just feel this tingling and she helps me relax, and I know she has my back :). Overall, she is an AWESOME LWA, and I truly honor and serve her as a child of her :).

Ohhh Erzulie! She is not my Met Tet, but I talk to her quite often too. After the Valentine’s Day Ritual I feel closer to her. She brings peace to my heart and seems to dry my tears when I have them filling my eyes!
I honor her every day by using her Sheer Goddess products, and I have a pink bath that I will use soon too!
Thank you Sister Bridget, and I’ll remember her all this week and maybe do a cocktail hour with her!
Btw, how cool Schweetie! love it…
Oh, and could you explain a little the use of these cards??? I have no idea what would be the use for someone like me! 🙂

Happy

I wanted to post how beautiful Erzulie helped me last year during one my candle sessions. I have not had any luck find someone to love me much less my hd, so I cast the Attract Love to me spell in April 2007.
I bought the spell thinking Erzulie would find me love since my hd is very difficult. I did not get my hd (at least not yet) I did not get another man (at least not yet) but what I did get is Erzulie interrupting me during one of my love doll chants that I had to learn to love myself. It was great, I heard Erzulie telling me that before I can have love with any man I had to love myself first. What a great feeling I had and wake up call. Since then I have practiced self love more than wanting my hd. I am now happy with myself as a person and cannot wait to share the real me.
Thanks Erzulie……now can we get me a man LOL

The Sheer Goddess products are wonderful! I chat with Erzulie Freda almost every day when I wash my face. 🙂
Jut the other day I saw a bottle of pink champagne (well, pink sparkling something) that I bought for her. I have not yet opened it for her, but I’m sure I’ll know when it’s the right time.
Also with spring coming my rose plants are sprouting new leaves, and I look forward to having roses for her. I think they are a gift from Grand Bois, too.

I set up a small alter honouring Erzulie Freda awhile back. Most tue, I tried to put chocolate,champagne, nice pink things for her. Very amazing thing, I bought some pink roses for her alter almost 10 days ago and guess what, 3 of the 8 roses are still beautiful and lasting forever! (roses do not normally last more than a few days really). I see this as a wondeful sign!

I remember in February when I honored Erzulie I did it for a week. I made an alter to her with beautiful flowers, perfume, a couple of beautiful wine glasses, and of course pink and white candles. I would share a drink with Erzulie, then open my heart up to her with the petition that I sent Mambo. I felt very positive with her and I got a lot of signs when I did this. There are two songs that remind me of my HD and I would turn the radio on and they would be playing or coming on. It was awesome. I love doing service to her in February. There are times though that I just talk with her. Sorry Sister Bridget for it being so long, but I did try to keep it short. Kat

I did an altar for Erzulie Freda also and felt so much love and comfort as I was talking to her. I received a sample of the Sheer Goddess toner, and I love how fresh my face feels when I use it. I especially use it when I know I’ll see my HD, and he seems to pay more attention to me. 🙂 I will definitely get more! For me honoring Erzulie Freda best is in how I’m learning to love myself as I am. I find something good about myself in the morning to start my day. I keep that thought with me, even during bad days/moments. It helps me get through. “Hey, that’s ok because THIS!” It makes me feel so good knowing that I can and do love myself as I am. Yes, I am changing and working on myself, but I see that I have many great qualities that I don’t have to change. 🙂

Well Erzulie Freda has helped me by showing me my new HD who is really an old HD from forever ago. I was at a cross roads and didn’t know what to do. Thankfully she was so helpful in showing me which way to go. Also I have to thank Erzulie Freda for making me like pink lol. I have never liked the color pink and now I find my self buying all kinds of pink stuff.

I honored Erzulie every night for a week in February as well. One of the candles that I purchased for her altar was huge. When I took down the altar at the end of Valentine’s week, I used some of the items to make a smaller more portable altar and made a commitment to have a ritual for her each week until the candle is gone. I put the altar up, make chocolate fondue, serve champagne and then finish with a rose scented bath. I talk to her about how I am feeling about my HD, ask for her help and guidance.

Today, I knew I would be seeing my HD. I used my Erzulie pink bath crystals to help me with seeing the HD today. It helped! HD has been very angry with me lately. Processing. I did not give in, I kept the meeting short and sweet. I did have to set a boundry about not taking the anger from him anymore. I simply stated what I expected and walked away. It was wonderful. Thank you Erzulie!
