    9. Follow the special energy as it moves through you! There is no wrong answer!

  • Following a Resolution.

    Hi there!

Part of ny New Year's resolution was for me to try new and exciting things. I am taking a jewelry making class. I am getting ready to sell my house and  make a really bold move. I am looking at my financials in a new light. I have also decided to try branching out a bit in my practice. I am currently starting up a shop on Etsy, and have also recently listed my readings on KEEN. It can be relaly hard in today's world to know how and where to focus one's energies. There are so many options on the 'net today and social media, to say the least, can be overwhemling. They key for me is to try really hard not to get overwhelmed by the choices, and know that the only way to know what path is right for me, is by trial and error. I do my research, listen to my guidance, and then take a try. It is a step – not always forwards, but a step none the less. Change can be scarey. New things can be overwhelming. But no progress can be made by standing still. In these days following the New Year, when your resolutions are still fresh in your mind, I encourage you to try, to take a step and see where it goes. You will miss 100% of the chances that you do not take.

    Blessings,

    Sister Bridget

    Intuition – Your Inner Guide

    by: Anne Walsh

Have you ever thought about someone out of the blue?and then they
called you. Have you ever made a decision that everyone else thought
was crazy, but you knew was right for you..and it worked out
perfectly? Have you ever followed your gut instinct on something and
was proved gloriously RIGHT! If any of these have happened to you, you
have experienced the power of intuition. Most of us at some stage wish
we could have an inner guide that would tell us the right thing to do.
The good news is that we do have an inner guide, the bad news is that
    the message can be fuzzy!

Benefits of being guided by intuition

So what are the benefits of following your intuition as opposed to
listening to the promptings of parents, partners and others? First of
all, this begins to give you confidence in your own judgment. It helps
you judge whether this person or opportunity is the right one for
you?even if it may not seem so on paper. Secondly I have never met
anyone who regretted following their intuition. Yes it may have meant
making a difficult decision but it WAS the right ultimate decision for
them. Many great business deals have been gone through on a hunch?or
    intuition?

    Developing your intuition

    1. Recognition: I have relied on intuition for making most of my major
decisions but I still have difficulty sometimes distinguishing between
it and just a passing thought, so here are some guidelines I use?

    a. Feeling: What’s the feeling around it? If it’s gentle that’s
usually a sign of intuition. Something that is fear-based and urgent
    is not intuition.

    b. Persistent: You find that you keep having the same thought about
    something, check it out.

    c. Messages: You find that the issue crops up again in all sorts of
ways..it gets mentioned on the news, you hear it in passing
    conversation.

    2. Trust. So after you have got these messages and confirmation, if
you wish to use this, you actually need to do something about it. You
must learn to trust this feeling. Follow promptings and see where they
    lead you?

    3. Openness: Be open to where intuition can lead you. One thing I can
promise you..is that you will be surprised and delighted by where it
    leads you..

    4. Sometimes it doesn’t mean anything. This is one thing I have
noticed about being guided by intuition. Sometimes hunches and gut
instincts don’t actually seem to mean anything?but we don’t know that
until afterwards?so accept that you may have the odd intuitive red
    herring!

So this week begin paying attention to your hunches. Call that friend,
read that book, make that call?and who knows what delightful things
    could come to your door..

  • Why Pay Attention to your Intuition?

Here is another splendid article by Sonia Choquette! Dont forget to check out her weekly radio show on Hay House Radio! Hay House Radio is a wealth of great information that you can listen to for free on your computer. Check it out! Light and Love, Sister Bridget

Why Pay Attention to your Intuition?

One thing you will discover when you begin to nurture your intuition,
is that what you are truly doing is nurturing you most authentic self,
your spirit. Nurturing intuition is actually the art of discovering
and honoring who you really are. Being intuitive means looking into
your heart and recognizing the genuine self within. It means
empowering yourself with the understanding that you are a spiritual
being, a royal child of the light, thus keeping you from the darkness
and confusion of searching for yourself worth through the approval of
    others.

Intuition helps you to view the world through creative and receptive
eyes, reminding you that, behind the scenes in every way, the universe
is helping you succeed. When we see ourselves as we really are,
spiritual beings, helped by guides, protected by angels, and
infinitely loved by God, then being intuitive begins to make sense.
The universe is a hologram, aware of all of its parts at all times,
and each of us, being an essential part of the whole, has access to
    its wisdom at every moment.

Being intuitive means being in tune with the true nature of the
Universe, including your place in it, and will prevent you from
believing anything less than the truth; that as children of God, you
are loveable, and worthy of everything good in the Universe has to
offer. It will free you from the tendency to harm or repress your
genuine needs, feelings, and desires. In living an intuitive life, you
live life with an open heart. In other words, you become committed to
loving yourself and agree to accept the love and abundance that the
    Universe wants you to experience.

Following your intuition will also help you to walk away from people
or situations that are not good for you. It will let you know that
they have the right to keep themselves out of harms way by respecting
your natural boundaries, and identifying and avoiding negative
circumstances without having to justify their reasons.

Being intuitive offers you a world that is friendly, adventurous, and
amusing, but most of all one that welcomes your unique essence. It
will lay the foundation for your ability to experience real power in
your lives, this power that comes from within and cannot be diminished
    by anyone.

Reclaiming your sixth sense and restoring it to its rightful place of
honor in your life will give you an invaluable gift. It will make you
aware of the wonder in the world. It will open your eyes and ears to
the glory and delight of creativity. It will arm you with confidence
and provide added insurance for protection. It will help you connect
to their real purpose and to those with whom you share your lives. It
will assure you of your natural place in the wheel of life and help
you overcome the fear of death. And above all, it will give you the
right to live in peace without fear, and to have the full experience
of expressing who you really are. For each of us who lives with this
wisdom in their heart, we help those who have lost there way remember
there true essence as well. In this way we can all become healers of
the world and usher in an age of peace.

Intuition is and is waiting to be awakened in all people. In order to
tap into it all you must do is to make four important decisions. The
first decision is to be open to intuition. Being open to hearing the
voice of your inner teacher is like turning the radio to you spirit
    "on".

The second decision is to expect intuition to guide you. When you
enter into a state of expectation, you create a magnet that draws
intuition into your awareness. The third decision is to trust you
intuition when it does show up. One way to do this is to get a small
pocket notebook and record every single intuitive feeling that you
have over the next two weeks without censoring. If you do this, what
you will have is evidence that intuition can be trusted. And finally,
the fourth and most important decision is to act on your intuition.
Learn to do this by playfully inviting your intuition to guide you,
beginning with "where are my keys? And leading up to "What is my
    purpose in life?"

If you make these four decisions; be open, expect, trust, and act on
your intuition, you will transform a life from the ordinary "me
against the world" into one that is extraordinary – "me, a spiritual
being, -here to lovingly create and contribute with divine support."
This is the natural way, and as it should be.

  • Intuition at Home…..

I was soooooooooooo excited when I found this article by Sonia Choquette! I listen to her show on Hay House Radio every week! I hope you enjoy the article and check out her show as well!

    Intuition at Home

In the past few weeks I have spent a lot of time talking to many
people about nurturing intuition in children. In those conversations,
one of the most frequent messages I hear from parents is just how
painful life has been for them because they lost touch with their own
inner voice and don’t listen to their own heart in life, and how they
want better for their kids. In fact, the number of stories of regret,
lost opportunity, struggle and even sickness resulting from being led
by other than one’s own intuition are endless.

The more I hear from people the more I realize just what a profound
wounding being out of touch with your intuition actually is. I believe
losing a connection with your sixth sense is just as profound of a
loss as losing a connection with any one of your other senses would
be, if not more so. Our intuition is the lifeline to our Source, God.
It is the voice that helps us remain in integrity with our real
nature, our essence. Being aware of, honoring and following the
guiding wisdom of our intuition is the most reliable way to create
lives that fulfill our deepest dreams and desires. As important as
intuition is, it is no wonder that losing touch with it does so often
bear out such unfulfilled lives. Knowing this, I believe that
intuition should be perceived as our first sense, not our last, and
should never be the sense we ignore or throw away?

I think we lose touch with this inner voice when we are young. We lose
it through the million and one subtle ways in which we are told that
our feelings are not reliable, and cannot be trusted. Or are told that
what we feel is not real, or not important and cannot direct our life.
The injuries to our spirit, the voice of our intuition, are usually so
subtle that they can never be specifically identified. Rather than
dying a death by dramatic blows, it is my observation that intuition
usually dies a death of a thousand tiny pinpricks, suffered as we grow
    up.

The good new about our intuition is that even though some of us have
become disconnected to it, because it is inherent to our Spiritual
Nature, it is totally possible to reconnect with it in our own lives
as well as preserve it in the lives of our children. All it requires
to do this is to create the proper environment for your intuition to
    re-enter your life.

The first suggestion for doing this is to begin by paying attention to
your own feelings. As you know from your own experience, we do not
necessarily do what we feel when growing up, but rather we do what we
observe the important people in our lives doing. Therefore, if you
want your children to connect with their intuition, you must
demonstrate how to do this by connecting to yours first.

Begin with giving attention to the feelings in your body as you move
through the day because this is how intuition gets your attention.
Does it come to your attention in your belly, your chest, your throat,
or somewhere else in your body? Where? Be aware. Notice.

Next, acknowledge your own intuitive feelings as they come up in your
life, and share these feelings openly and without a lot of drama with
your children. Be certain not to put a negative or unnatural spin on
these feelings when you do speak about them, such as describing
intuition as "weird" or "bizarre" or "scary" as some people do. After
all, what kid wants to emulate something "weird" "bizarre" or scary?"
    Probably not yours.

Another thing you can do to foster intuition in your home is to ask
your kids how they feel about things. And then respect their feelings
when they do share them with you. If their feelings suggest a
modification in your plans, be open to changing course. Because
intuition works to assist you in making the best decisions possible in
life, it is only natural that many intuitive feelings suggest
re-directing your course to a better way, or to avoid potential
    problems.

Another suggestion is to create an atmosphere in your home that is
harmonious and invites everyone to share their intuitive feelings
without censorship, embarrassment, or a need to justify their
instincts in any way. When we create an atmosphere that respects the
unseen, but felt world as much as the physical plane, we are well on
our way to reclaiming the most important instinct for success that we
    have.

And finally, encourage your self and your children to ask for
intuitive guidance in life and begin to turn your awareness inward and
listen for it. Intuition is natural and available to anyone who
desires to connect with it. It is never to late to awaken your
intuition as well as support you child’s intuition, even if you feel
you have been out of touch with it for a long time. The reason this is
so is that intuition is NATURAL and present in anyone willing to notice.

Nurturing intuition isn’t so much a matter of what can we do to foster
an awareness that isn’t present, but rather it is a matter of what can
we do to protect the natural yet subtle soul awareness that is present
in all of us. When we connect to our intuition, the world takes on a
friendlier place, welcoming us to all sorts of opportunities,
surprising us with synchronicities, protecting us from adversity and
directing us to the best possible course for sharing our gifts with
the world. This is the natural plan and the way it should be. Invite
intuition into your home, for your own sake and for the sake of your
children as well. It’s worth it!

  • More Intuitive Exercises

Hey there! How are you doing on honing up your intuitive skills? These are not things that come easily for most folks, BUT with practice, we can strengthen our intuitive "muscle"  🙂 Below are some more ideas of ways to practice or exercise your intuition. Again, alot of people feel self doubt about these things, but listen to Mambo Sam’s sage advice to "Suspend Disbelief" for a while and try a few! Post some comments and let me know how you do!

      Light and Love, Sister Bridget

    1. Whenever the telephone rings, close your eyes and visualize the person who is calling. Then pick up the phone and discover if you’re right. Your
accuracy will improve dramatically as you practice this exercise, and
this exercise may help you develop your clairvoyant abilities in
      addition to intuition and precognition.
    2. When you stand in line at the bank, tell yourself which teller will serve you. This exercise is similar to the first, but you can see your “target." This exercise helps you develop your intuition and your ability to psychically connect with others who are in close proximity.
    3. When you watch a sporting event, tell yourself the outcome before the event begins. As
you develop skill with this exercise, expand to predicting more
statistics such as scores or top 5 placements in racing or judged
events. This exercise helps you develop your intuition, precognition, and clairvoyance. Do not misuse this skill for personal gain, such as gambling, or you will likely lose your skill entirely.
    4. Have a friend roll a dice. Begin by calling “even" or “odd" before the dice is thrown your accuracy will increase with practice. Expand to call the number the dice will land on. This exercise helps you develop your intuition, precognition and clairvoyance (specifically your ability to see numbers).
    5. Work with a friend and a standard deck of playing cards. Begin by predicting black or red, and then have your friend turn over the top card of the deck. Your accuracy will improve with practice. When your accuracy is 80% or greater, expand to predict the suit, and later, the number or face of the card as well. This exercise boosts your intuition, precognition, and clairvoyance (specifically colours and shapes).
    6. When you’re riding an elevator and another passenger joins you, tell yourself which button they’ll press. This
exercises helps you develop your intuition, precognition, clairvoyance
(number recognition), telepathy, and your ability to connect with
      others psychically.
    7. In the morning, write down the names of people you will have important interactions or communications with that day. Don’t rely on logic. Clear your mind and allow faces or names to come to you naturally. Trust it and write it down. Using this exercise regularly will significantly improve your accuracy.
    8. When in line at the
movies, tell yourself which movie the person or group ahead of you will
request (if you overhear them say it, try again another time!). This
exercise helps you improve your intuition concerning the intentions,
preferences and actions of others, and it can lead to developing
      telepathy and empathy.
    9. When you have a meeting or appointment, tell yourself the colour of clothing the other person will be wearing before you meet. (This does not work for all people or situations. For
example, you can reasonably assume a doctor will be wearing white, or
you may know someone always wears a particular colour.) This exercise improves your clairvoyant abilities and could help you develop remote viewing skills as well.
    10. Ask three friends a question (such as “what did you eat for breakfast?" or “where do you want to go on your next vacation?") Before
you ask your questions, your friends must decide amongst themselves
which one will answer falsely, and you must write down which friend
will answer falsely. Then you ask your question and listen to each friend reply. Show them the name you wrote down before you asked the question. This exercise helps you develop intuition, precognition and can lead to developing telepathy. This
skill is especially valuable in life the ability to recognize deception
and even predict it can make your life, and the lives of many others,
      much smoother.

  • All About Your Intuition — and how to improve it

Hey there — a number of folks have written to me asking about ways that they can improve upon their intuition. I personally think that intuition something that can be improved with practice. I think its a skill that we can develop over time. Like painting or sculpting, there is are certain people that have a gift of great intuition, but also, certain aspects of Intuition can be strengthened with practice 😉 Soooo, here is an article with some ideas of places to start. BIG DISCLAIMER ~~~~ ONLY practice these on things that you have no emotional attachment to! Like, what color envelopes might be in your mailbox, which way does that door open, who is on the other end of the phone when it rings. Do NOT try this with anything that you have any emotional attachment to!  Have a great time and leave me some comments about how you did 😉 Light and Love, Sister Bridget

    ALL ABOUT YOUR INTUITION
    …AND HOW TO IMPROVE IT
From an interview with Thomas Condon

    Intuition
is a lot like dreaming. We don’t know how we do it, but we do it.
Intuition is knowing something – but not knowing how you know it.
Intuitive knowledge comes to us spontaneously and directly, without the
use of reason or logical thought. Some people trust their intuition –
they "believe" in it, and act on it. Example: you bypass a parking
space because you "know" there will be a space closer to where you’re
    going.

    Others
deny intuitive information, or distrust it as "irrational." But most of
us can recall an instance when we ignored a "feeling" or "hunch" about
someone or something – and later regretted it.

    Knowing
how to cultivate your intuition can help in every aspect of our lives.
So, to help our readers get ahead, we spoke to the expert in this area,
Thomas Condon. His insights: Intuition can be loosely defined as the
ability to synthesize and make deductions from all of our accumulated
unconscious experience. Most of the information we use in our daily
lives is unconscious. We "know" much more than we realize.

    Example:
Which way doors open – in or out. Our senses provide us with ongoing
information that never reaches our conscious awareness, unless we turn
    our attention to it.

    Similarly,
intuitive information comes to us through our senses. Examples : Some
people get a "gut feeling" about things. Others hear "a little voice,"
"see the light" or see "a fleeting image." Still others sense good or
bad "vibrations." Those who learn to "tune in" to their intuition find
it a useful tool in their personal and professional lives.

    Increasing Intuition
    We
can expand our intuitive capacities, like any other of our physical or
mental capabilities, with training and exercise. The process :

    1. Evoke, or awaken, our intuitive capacity, by identifying our personal intuitive messages.
    2.
Focus our intuition on practical outcomes … improved relationships,
confident decision-making, clear goal-setting, increased creativity and
    productivity, correct judging and forecasting.

    Your Personal Intuitive Style
In my research and workshops, I have learned that each person experiences intuition in a different, highly individual way.
    *
Identify your intuitive style by remembering times you just "knew"
something. Try to relive the experience. How does such information come
to you? Do you see, hear or feel it? Is it loud and clear? Niggling and
vague? Intuitive images, voices or feelings tend to have a consistent
    source. Examples:
"Suddenly the big picture flashes before my eyes".
"I feel a sense of sureness in my stomach – a ‘grounded’ feeling."
"I hear my own voice inside my head."
"I literally feel pulled in one direction."
"I get a feeling in my chest that something ‘wants out’."

    Object:
Learn where to look, listen, or turn your attention when you want
intuitive information. Exercise: Hone in on the part of yourself that
transmits intuitive information – the voice in your ear, the screen in
your mind, the feeling in your chest and belly. Pose clear "Yes or no"
questions and be receptive to the responses you get. Result: The bridge
between your conscious, active awareness and your unconscious is
strengthened. You will find that intuitive information is readily
available – even if you are highly skeptical at first. Your "inner
translator" will become more clear and accessible with more practice.

Skeptics seem to respond especially well to intuition exercises.
    Reasons:
Underutilized intuition often seems to blossom when it is cultivated.
Skeptics don’t "believe" in intuition, so they can play with the
exercises free of any expectations, judgments or defenses. They react
with surprise and delight when it works.

    To Improve Your Intuition
    *
Notice when you are being intuitive, and squeeze one hand with the
other. Purpose: To create an association response so you can learn to
access your intuition by squeezing your hand.
    *
Learn your physical intuitive habits. Do your eyes move in a particular
way ? Do you have a characteristic posture or facial expression ?
Gestures or actions ? Assume these motions to access intuitive
    information.
    * Practise maintaining an open-minded, playful, experimental, non-judgmental attitude.
    * Daydream, doodle, brainstorm, and write down words or phrases that come to you when problem-solving.
    *
Practice making wild guesses. Examples : What a salespersons’s name is,
what a new person or place will look like, who is calling on the phone.
Imagine laughing when you are wrong about insignificant facts. Purpose
: To free you to make wild guesses
    * Listen to your "inner dialogue."
    * Make positive suggestions to yourself … pose positive, specific questions to your intuition.
    * Take up rhythmic exercise such as swimming, yoga or t’ai chi. Also helpful : self hypnosis, meditation.

    When
seeking intuitive information about yourself or others … relax and
get comfortable. Quiet your inner dialogue and look past the inner
images that run through your mind. Focus your attention on the "blank
screen" behind them. Immerse yourself in the activity of receiving the
    information that comes.

    Observation
exercises : In restaurants, on trains, shopping, etc., practise
noticing non-verbal behavior in others … posture shifts, hand
motions, vocal tone or tempo. Guess how your subjects are feeling or
    what they are talking about.

    And
have fun ! Some people may believe that their intuition only works in
tragic or exceptional circumstances. But that is like saying we only
use our common sense in emergencies. Intuition, like common sense, is
with us all of the time – if we are willing to use it.
